The Cider House: Winchester's premier cider tasting room and restaurant.

The Cider House is the official restaurant of Winchester Ciderworks. We offer an eclectic menu, as well as some British classics reminiscent of our owners birthplace.

The restaurant has ample seating, including a covered patio in the front and an open-air area in the back. You can relax with friends on our couches, spend time watching sports with your pals at the tables, or enjoy closer quarters at the bar. We regularly host events, such as British Bingo, trivia, live musicians, and sports viewing events. We are also available to book private events, so get in contact!

All of the items on our menu are made in-house, with the exception of our delicious bangers and pies, which we source from some of the best British bakers and butchers in the US. Our signature dishes vary from week to week as their popularity increases. Bangers ‘n Mash, house-made Mac & Cheese with extras, and the incredibly popular Buffalo Chicken Dip are all firm favorites. There is something on our menu for everyone, and we take pride in our vegan dishes, too.

Great ciders and the food was a delicious surprise. The chicken pesto flatbread was outstanding and the crust was really unique - flaky, buttery, and delicious. A must stop.

Went with a friend and had two flights. Neither of us were particularly impressed with anything. Couldn’t taste the apple in any of them. Sad to say i’d have been happier just finding a place to pour me a strongbow.

Better than angry orchard though, at least, for sure. All of them were just kinda mid.

Bartender was nice, place had a great vibe inside. Just wish things tasted better.

Thanks for rhe review. You don't taste apple in any cider, just as you don't taste grapes in wine. You only taste apple, pear, etc. when extracts are added. Strongbow is made from apple concentrate rehydrated and apple extract added to it. Traditional English ciders take time to make and the sugars are fermented out. This gives a clean, crisp finish as in our ciders. We can't please everyone but than you for stopping in and enjoying our place.

No wait as I was there about 45 minutes before they closed. Had one cider but no food. Will have to try again on a different day and time. Bartender was friendly. Hopefully they have a full selection of ciders next visit.

It’s Friday night and everyone is complaining about what they’re gonna have for dinner tonight. Your wife is complaining. What are we gonna do? Now let me ask you a question. You can go somewhere and have a delicious meal, catch a buzz and not get beer bloat what more can you ask for? Even the sausages have a legitimate british accent because there imported from a place where they take sausages serious. As a legitimate drunkered I can attest to the buzz you get from a cider. Five stars all around (also no seed oils)

Wow! A wonderful selection of fabulous tasting Ciders! I took plenty to go!! Food was superb! Generous helpings! Service and atmosphere were top notch! Every customer and employee had smiles on their faces! Server and owner, Stephen, checked in on us multiple times! Will stop each time I’m in town!

We are on vacation and had to bring our dog; they welcomed us and our fur baby! Service is amazing, food was great; ciders are REALLY good! Atmosphere and experience was more like 10 stars! The locals are so lucky to have The Cider House! Thank you Scott! You are amazing !

I went for a pride event and was pleased to meet the owner of this wonderful establishment. The decor is very nice and the food was surprisingly delicious. I had never been there before so happy to see a variety of foods and a congenial atmosphere.

Went and visited the new downtown location for the first time when some friends came to visit Winchester. We each had a cider flight and shared a few different food items. The ciders were all delicious (especially the hybrid of the 522 and the Ginga) and the owner Stephen stopped by to see how everything was and explain some of the history behind the ciders. We really enjoyed the bangers and mash, Mac and cheese, and garlic knots. Overall it was a great place to spend time catching up with each other and trying a bunch of different ciders! Looking forward to going back.

The Cider House is a wonderful drinking and dining experience. They offer a nice selection of ciders and menu items; the food is not only delicious but perfectly portioned and left us feeling satisfied with room for a delicious dessert and after dinner espresso martini. We had lunch during the soft opening and everything was fantastic. The cider is always good (Va-Ginga is my favorite) and the food was delicious. We had buffalo chicken dip to start (great flavor, not overly spicy) and for our meal we had bagers and mash and the Mediterranean bake which were both so good. The rest of the menu sounded amazing and we can’t wait to go back for more.
